A couple of weeks ago, the weather folks were forecasting a gorgeous Sunday. So after church, we headed downtown and parked. We lunched at a cafe near the North End, then walked to the Boston Common and on to the Boston Public Garden.

The swan boat season had opened the day before; add in all that sunshine and you get lots of people out and about. Even so, our wait for the swan ride was fairly short, and the trip around the pond was lots of fun. Afterwards, we walked across the bridge to a larger grassy area where we sat and listened to a guitarist cover Simon and Garfunkel classics. Luther danced in the grass, and Sinclair scooted around and charmed with all those sitting near us. A perfect day and the start of a new family tradition.
