May and June in Massachusetts
Trying to catch this blog up to date is going to take a couple of posts and a whole lot of remembering; a lot has happened this past summer. In May my good friend Kelly came to visit. We hung out at parks, had tea parties, and took her along on our first visit to Mt. Auburn Cemetery. A weird place to take someone who is still alive and kicking but I had heard on the radio that it is one of the most beautiful places in Greater Boston. And it's true. It is a gorgeous, almost magical park that also happens to be the final resting place of a lot of people, many of them rather famous.
At the beginning of June, my parents and my brother and his girlfriend came to visit. We took them into Boston to do the Freedom Trail. And to eat at The Daily Catch and Mike's Pastries. We also went to Lynn to see the beach and have a seafood dinner for Piercen's birthday.
We also started our home search at the beginning of June with an accepted offer on a house that turned into a nightmare of falling down foundations and a dishonest seller.
And in the midst of all this, we attended two weddings where Pierce was a groomsman; one wedding in Pennsylvania and one in upstate New York. It was a busy couple of months.
