Our last visit to our branch library for Toddler Time; as you can see, we had cake.
Thrilled with the going-away gifts from dear friends; nothing beats a truck coloring book.
Fortunately, Luther is not one to be put off by packing mayhem. I, on the other hand . . .
They really shouldn't let historians into science labs.
Waiting for Scout's plane to arrive. She came from Tennessee to help us with the big move.
Speaking of big moves . . .
Some of us took the process more seriously than others.
The new kitchen has windows! Scout (my mom) and Luther made pumpkin sugar cookies as the apartment christening food.
Then the three of us
ate decorated them.
It's been quite the week (month, really) but we have arrived in Arlington, MA safe and sound. Piercen's lab mates from UW turned out en masse to help load our stuff into the moving truck, and we are beyond grateful to them all. Piercen and his dad survived the two-day drive in the gargantuan Penske truck, and mom and I survived the drive in a compact car with a two year old in tow. The apartment is more than we could have hoped for, and the town is quite the New England charmer. We're almost unpacked, and I hope to have pics of the new place up soon.
