Life Recently

Our last visit to our library's Toddler Time; there was cake. #instaluther #toddler #library #children #cakeSomeone is enjoying his new truck coloring book. Thanks again Matt and @renee_kramer !
Our last visit to our branch library for Toddler Time; as you can see, we had cake.
Thrilled with the going-away gifts from dear friends; nothing beats a truck coloring book.
Some of us are really enjoying the packing process. #instaluther #toddler #childhood #moving #packingMy mother has just informed me that it has been three days since I've posted picture of Luther on Instagram. Here you go. #instaluther #toddler #grandmothers #children #moving
Fortunately, Luther is not one to be put off by packing mayhem. I, on the other hand . . .
This is what happens when you let a historian into a science lab. #meltdown #disaster #saveyourselves #science #labWaiting for Scout to arrive . . . #instaluther #grandmother #family #cantwait
They really shouldn't let historians into science labs.
Waiting for Scout's plane to arrive. She came from Tennessee to help us with the big move.
This is really happening . . . #moving #massachusettsorbustSome of us are taking the move more seriously than others. #instaluther #toddler #moving
Speaking of big moves . . .
Some of us took the process more seriously than others.
Making sugar cookies with Scout. #instaluther #toddler #childhood #children #grandmother #grandparenthoodEating cookies . . . err, I mean decorating cookies. #instaluther #cookies #parenthood
The new kitchen has windows! Scout (my mom) and Luther made pumpkin sugar cookies as the apartment christening food.
Then the three of us ate decorated them.

It's been quite the week (month, really) but we have arrived in Arlington, MA safe and sound. Piercen's lab mates from UW turned out en masse to help load our stuff into the moving truck, and we are beyond grateful to them all. Piercen and his dad survived the two-day drive in the gargantuan Penske truck, and mom and I survived the drive in a compact car with a two year old in tow. The apartment is more than we could have hoped for, and the town is quite the New England charmer. We're almost unpacked, and I hope to have pics of the new place up soon.
