Life Recently

Post Luther' 1st Haircut #instaluther #haircut #toddlerHe wanted a tail. #instaluther #toddler #taleofatail
Post 1st haircut. Only a few tears were shed, and he got a balloon afterwards.
He has learned the concept of a "tail" and felt the need for one himself.

Watching a video of him and Papa together on my phone. #instaluther #motherhood #bondingWarby Parker got nothing on him. #instaluther #toddler
He gets a real kick out of watching himself in home videos.
Copying everything we do.
I hate when I open a drawer and almost get my hand bitten by an alligator. #toddler #children #alligator #wildanimals #itsazooinhereFor once, he's happy post-nap. #instaluther #toddler #postnap
I had no idea kids were so messy. I find toys everywhere.
Fortunately, he's cute.

Luther insisted on clapping enthusiastically after every hymn during a solemn and very quiet Ash Wednesday service. Fortunately, our pew neighbors found it amusing. May you be richly blessed this Lenten season. #instaluther #toddler #bethellutheran #lent"Help . . . help!" #instaluther #toddler #imstuck
"Remember that thou art dust, and to dust thou shalt return." An even more somber reminder on a child so young this past Ash Wednesday.
Did I mention that kids are messy? And always getting themselves into odd situations?

Happy Monday--hope your weekend was grand. Luther got his first haircut, and he did a stellar job. He only cried when the lady turned on the clippers. She quickly turned them off again, and all was ok. They gave him a balloon afterwards, so he and I chased it around the salon afterwards while Pierce got his hair cut. We visited the botanical gardens on Sunday and had a hard time forcing ourselves to return to the real world of snow and ice. Spring can't come soon enough to this cold corner of the world.
