Edwardian/Downton Abbey Costume

Shirt is from my closet. I think I got it at Savers eons ago. Skirt was picked up at Goodwill specifically for this costume. The lace overlay is an almost exact match to the shirt.

Opera gloves (lace) were ordered from Amazon for the costume; boots are from my closet and were purchase back in Bethlehem at a local thrift. Headband I made; vintage silver threaded clutch was a Christmas gift from my brother-in-law, the younger; earrings are from my closet, and I may have actually purchased these at a non-thrift store. I can't remember.

If you are friends with me and/or Vintage Soup on Facebook, you may have seen some of my posts about an upcoming Downton Abbey/ Edwardian Tea Party with my dear friend Holly in Springfield, IL. Well, this Saturday is the big day. Despite the fact that the black makes it look like I'm in mourning, I love it. I may actually wear it to non-Downton Abbey/Edwardian Tea Party events in the future. I'll be instagramming the whole weekend which will probably include us thrifting in our costumes, as we do. Can. Not. Wait.

  1. I adore all of this. Too stunning! If they are giving awards out at this sucker-they will rightly ALL BE YOURS.
