Some pictures from our trip in April to the great city of Chicago. Besides recording our morning breakfast and our river boat cruise down the Chicago River, we didn't do a very good job of photographing the trip. I blame the incessant wind which turned any thoughts of picture taking into a focus on keeping my hands in my pockets to stay warm. So what you don't see here is an account of the delicious deep dish pizza we had for the first time, the incredible Shedd Aquarium, the romantic desserts Pierce and I shared downtown, and our trip the next day to Ikea for baby things.
Chicago is a pretty amazing city--very clean, gorgeous architecture, lots of parks, etc. A friend described it as "a clean New York city" and that description certainly fit what I saw. I'd love to go back for a longer visit, hopefully during a warmer time of the year.
In other news, Baby O is still keeping us waiting on his arrival (one week, 3 days late). Clearly he has inherited the "15-minutes late to everything" gene from my side of the family.
